About Our laboratory:
Our Full State-Licensed Laboratory is located on the lower level of our building. Most routine laboratory tests will be performed in our lab. You will be told when to expect lab results after your child is seen. Our nurses make every effort to get these results out to you as soon as possible. We do leave normal lab results on your telephone's voicemail.
Our lab technicians are not allowed to give the results of tests.
In certain situations, you may receive a bill from St. Luke’s Hospital Lab or another outside lab for testing that cannot be performed in our own laboratory. Please contact them directly regarding any billing questions on their services.

Audio/Vision Screening:
Our laboratory staff also perform the Audio/Vision screening tests. Using the most current technology, we are also able to screen infants for hearing and vision problems. We also perform the necessary tests required for attending school.
Well Child Visits/Physical Exams:
Each patient must have a Primary Care Physician (PCP) within the practice. Appointments for physical exams should be scheduled with your child’s PCP or any of our certified nurse practitioners.
Well child visits are performed in our office at the following ages:
Newborn visit (within a few days after hospital discharge)
1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months,
9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, & 24 months.
Annually at age 3 years old and older
An annual Physical Exam is recommend by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is required by our practice in order for us to complete health forms and to make outside referrals.
We participate in the Reach out and Read program. Your child will be receiving books at certain ages until age 5.
Please note: Most private insurances will not cover a physical exam if done within a period of less than one year from the previous well child exam. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your child’s appointment,

You will receive a reminder phone call two days prior to your child’s appointment.
If needed, we will provide you will a copy of our standard health form that will contain all the information needed for your child to attend school, camp or to participate in sports.
Regarding Immunizations:
Children under the age of 18 years old need the authorization of a parent or legal guardian to receive immunizations. If a parent or legal guardian will not be present at the exam, we require a written authorization signed by the parent or guardian allowing the child to receive immunizations for that particular date of service.
Sick Office Visits:
Children who are sick are usually offered an appointment to be seen the same day depending on the urgency of the problem. If your child’s primary care physician (PCP) is not available, an appointment will be scheduled with one of the other professional staff working that day. Please call anytime that you are concerned or if you feel that your child may need to be seen in our office.
Most childhood complaints can be seen in the pediatric office setting during regular office hours or on-call hours. Problems such as fever, ear infections, sore throat, nausea, stomach pain, flu & colds and headaches usually should be treated in the office. Emergency room visits are frequently unnecessary, as well as costly and may not fully be covered by your insurance.
